Incentive Change: VFD Air Compressors <= 75 HP
As of June 1, 2018, we will offer custom rebates for unitary air compressors less than or equal to 75 Horsepower (HP) controlled by Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). As a custom measure, incentives will increase from $0.05/kWh to $0.06/kWh on June 1, 2018. To be eligible for incentives, VFD compressors must be the primary compressor in a single-compressor system and be installed in a new construction application or replace a lesser efficient compressor. VFD compressors meeting these criteria may be exempt from data logging requirements typical of other custom projects. As is the case with all custom projects, preapproval will be required.
Direct Discount Program
Approvals: Please note that the 10-15 working-day (pre/post) approval window applies to projects in good order. If required documents have not been received, the 10-15 day window for approval will not start until all documents have been provided. To ensure timely review, please be sure to submit completed application with the correct documentation.
Logging: All lighting projects over 750,000 kWh will require pre- and post- data logging, resulting in additional review and processing time.
On-site Project Verifications: The program team will conduct pre- and post- on-site project verifications for a minimum of five projects. These on-site project verifications will continue on a discretionary basis in line with requirements of the main lighting program. For projects with savings over 120,000 kWh, we will regularly conduct either a pre- or post-site visit. Projects over 300,000 kwh savings will receive a pre- and post-install site visit. Projects over 750,000 kWh projected savings will receive both a pre- and post-install visit and will require data logger installation to verify site hours of usage.
Proper Naming of Projects:Be sure to add “DD” in front of your project name so we can identify and process your project appropriately. If it is not properly labeled, it will delay your project’s processing.
Distributor Instant Discount Program
As a reminder, effective June 1, 2018, rebate amounts on certain products will change within the Midstream Program. Updated marketing materials are to the website at pplelectric.com/businessrebates.
Waitlist Update
The waitlist for all energy efficiency projects in the Government, Non-profit, and Education (GNE) sector submitted after January 15, 2018 will remain in effect as we move into PY10. The program team will communicate any changes throughout PY10.
